Theoretical Approach: Integrative & Client-Centred

I work using an Integrative framework, which means the therapy is uniquely tailored to you and what you bring. My approach is fundamentally client-centred—you set the agenda, and we select the tools that best support your goals.

My practice flexibly blends several evidence-based modalities.

Person-Centred Counselling: This is the foundation of our work, creating a safe space where you feel fully heard, respected, and accepted without judgment.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): This provides practical, goal-oriented tools to help you identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety and low mood.

Attachment Theory: We explore how early relationships influence your current connections and sense of self, which is key to consolidating a healthier identity and setting better boundaries.

Compassion-Focussed Therapy (CFT): We work to actively cultivate self-kindness and understanding, helping you overcome the grip of self-criticism and shame, which is often a root cause of low self-esteem.

This flexible approach allows us to address immediate challenges (like anxiety) while simultaneously working toward the deeper, transformative goals of resilience and self-understanding.
